I have been licensed & practicing since 1995. I provide mental health therapy & also substance abuse therapy to adults. I use evidence based therapeutic techniques. I believe it is important to recognize strengths as well as vulnerabilities. We are all imperfect & survivors. I think the benefits of therapy are perspective, support, accountability and growth. I think therapy should go beyond insight to include self awareness & ultimately a sense of choice in how we respond to the challenges of life. I can teach skills and techniques that are well grounded in long established & proven approaches. I enjoy working with clients who find themselves at a point of transition in life; encountering new challenges, grieving losses, adapting or finding a new path. I am well versed in CBT, DBT, mindfulness based stress reduction, motivational interviewing, addictions & solution focused treatment. My perspective is bio-psycho- social in nature.
