As a former educator, I recognized early on the importance of addressing students’ mental health needs to support their learning. This realization, along with years of volunteering and work in mental health agencies, inspired me to pursue a degree in social work. Since then, I have gained extensive experience working with diverse populations: children in group homes and residential facilities, adults in domestic violence and homeless shelters, individuals of all ages in suicide crisis intervention, as a school social worker, and through community outreach.
