I am a Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years in the mental health field. I prefer for my sessions to be more conversational and less rigid and “clinical,” as clients seem to respond best to a more relaxed flow. I truly want us to be partners in our therapeutic relationship. I always strive to ensure my clients feel like their emotions are validated, that they have a safe space to open up and be vulnerable, and that they are free from judgement during our time together. I pull from multiple theoretical approaches to create my personal counseling style so that I can always adjust to the needs of my clients, but Person Centered Therapy is at the core of my general approach. I also consciously and continuously strive to be BIPOC centering, sex positive, body positive, and gender affirming in my approach.
