Working with people who need and want to change has been a great career. I get to work with brave individuals and couples who choose to face the need for healthy change. Wanting to be different does not make it happen, you have to work at it. Clients come to therapy for many different reasons, but it all comes down to wanting to feel better, to be better and to be happier. Being emotionally well takes work. That's the work of therapy. It takes courage and time to work on ourselves. Finding a therapist to help with that is important. Understanding the person and knowing how to best meet their needs is critical in therapy.
