I am a recent graduate from Lesley University where I received my master’s in clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in art therapy. I love to incorporate art, creativity, and play within the therapeutic space by considering the sensory and kinesthetic properties found in art making. This appreciation for creativity followed me from my years working in schools as a teaching assistant where I used crafts as a learning tool and led me to to a career in the helping profession and art therapy I use a holistic, humanistic, person-centered approach while factoring CBT, DBT, and feminist frameworks. Using these techniques allows opportunity for emotional regulation, stress reduction, and empowerment through cognitive restructuring, mindfulness and validation of lived experience.
