About
When embarking on a new trail in life or faced with an unfamiliar challenge, it can be hard to find your way alone. Just as an experienced guide can help us navigate twists on the road, a therapist can serve as a trusted companion, offering tools, skills and wisdom for the path ahead. As a clinical social worker, I offer an attuned, empathetic ear and a knapsack of therapeutic techniques to equip you on your present journey. Using a strengths-based and relational approach, we will honor the unique gifts and qualities that have brought you this far, and assess the landscape to chart a way forward. We might work cognitively to reframe thoughts and shift behaviors. Using polyvagal theory, we can practice ways to self-soothe and regulate the nervous system. Listening to the messages from our body, we learn mindfulness and somatic techniques to strengthen our relationship with ourselves and become more present to the relationships in our lives.
