I've been a licensed counselor and educator for the past 12 years. I hold a Ph.D. in Counselor Education, MS in School and Mental Health Counseling, and a BA in Psychology. My primary clinical specialties involve trauma recovery and grief. I have extensive experience in crisis shelters for families escaping intimate partner violence, and many of my clients also struggle with substances. I'm a full-time Professor in a graduate counseling program and have been a virtual practitioner for six years. I'm believe healing takes place in emotions and memories, and I'm highly attentive to thought patterns in client stories. I'm trauma-informed, and we can explore how themes develop over time and cause present pain. We'll unpack the heavy stuff together as a team.
