My first goal is to help the client feel safe in the therapeutic environment, and to work to genuinely earn their trust in the therapeutic process. Trust is crucial for an efective therapeutic relationship. I also see my role as a guide and facilitator for the client through their healing process, which looks different for each person. Regular reviewing of goals with the client is important to keep the client's voice an integral part of this process.
