Laura’s experience has primarily focused on adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. She has observed more similarities than differences between substance use and mental health conditions. Laura did not find counseling as a career – counseling found her. She believes it is a privilege to work in a field that helps clients grow, flourish and reach their goals. Laura works with clients in a variety of situations and diagnoses. This includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, co-occurring diagnoses, substance use, chronic pain, and relationship issues.
