I see counseling as a process in which we are a team. I love helping people pursue a greater understanding of how past experiences affect the how we respond presently. This is particularity helpful in understanding current relationship dynamics or complex trauma from past relationships. In my work with couples, I love to explore how our individuality and experiences impact the day to day while teaching curiosity, empathy & compassion with clear, healthy boundaries! For couples therapy, I encourage 'intensive' sessions which are extended sessions beyond the normal 55 minutes that help us make progress in weeks rather than months! I help clients change negative patterns while connecting to parts of yourself that influence how we respond to experiences. This allows us to tackle traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, grief, peri/postnatal mood changes, relationship/attachment issues, parent-child relationship conflict, and the usual adjustment strains of life.
