I focus on adults of all ages who are experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss as well as those trying to understand relationships and the events that have shaped them. I hope to provide a safe environment in which to develop and explore insights that will encourage and enable growth and well-being. I will endeavor to help identify motivations, desires and personal ethics and the facility to express them. My frame of reference is largely psychodynamic (meaning that the unconscious mind affects conscious feelings, thoughts and behavior) but may draw from other orientations when suitable. I have spent many years working in agencies with adults, many of whom had experienced grief and loss largely due to trauma. After moving to Santa Fe seven years ago I expanded my private practice. Each individual's story is unique and I welcome those from all circumstances. Therapy is not exclusively for those in crisis.
