My ideal client is someone who is trying to just navigate life or help their child navigate life. Maybe my client has had a bad experience with other clinicians or has been afraid to try therapy at all. Maybe they’ve had several diagnoses and just want confirmation on what is going on with their mental health. I have been there too! I hope my client’s goals are to get an accurate diagnosis and truly engage in their own healing. I hope my client wants to feel better, have less symptoms and more manageable coping skills. I start by performing several initial assessments and then work with the client on developing a treatment plan. I want to get the diagnosis right at the beginning of treatment so I know we are addressing the right things right off the bat!
