My passion is in helping others experience the transformative power of self-compassion. It's been the key to my own emotional health, and I love sharing the freedom it provides with others. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and current candidate at the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute working towards a certification in psychoanalysis. As your therapist, I understand everyone heals differently, and as such, I use an integrative approach to therapy that is tailored to fit your individual needs. I work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, relationship issues and trauma. I utilize psychoanalytic theory and attachment theory to gain insight into how our past relationships influence how we relate to ourselves and others in the present. I also teach mindfulness-based interventions as practical skills to help alleviate and regulate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
