Children and adolescents are frequently faced with social and emotional challenges at home, school, and in the community. From social media to high pressure academics to traumatic life events, children and adolescents often struggle to simply “feel good”. Through the therapeutic relationship, I support my clients in developing an understanding of their experiences, and subsequent feelings and behaviors. The power of obtaining an understanding and acceptance of their current situation, frequently leads to a feeling of control in managing difficulties, and allows them to move forward to a healthier level of functioning.
