They began as protection — shaped by early experiences of feeling unseen, unsafe, or not enough. Now, those same patterns block the closeness and peace you want most. I’m Leanne Tanis, trauma therapist and founder of Honoring the Survivor Within. I help adults reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner wisdom through trauma-informed care that is grounded, compassionate, and somatically. I also support clients facing infertility and other life transitions that can re-activate old wounds of grief and powerlessness.
