I have come to practice psychotherapy from a 20-year career in nursing. I work with children, teens, adults, and elders. At each stage, life transitions challenge us to reinvent ourselves. This can be both destabilizing and rewarding, providing fertile ground for reflection and growth. My clients come to therapy to reflect on past experiences, work with present challenges, and engage in curiosity about themselves, their relationships, and their place in the world. I am passionate about providing therapy that allows clients to hear their own voice. Always, and perhaps especially in these times, therapy is a profound act of self-care. My practice is warm and interactive, relational, psychodynamic, and deeply person-centered. I am trained in mindfulness-based somatic therapy, grief therapy, play therapy, and person-centered expressive arts therapy. I provide a non-judgmental, empathic, supportive, safe environment, encouraging you to attend to your emotions, to your mind, and to your body.
