I embrace the idea of being able to help someone in need through therapy. I like the ability to be flexible with my time while focusing on the patient's needs. I like giving homework. :) It helps to continue working on the focus of treatment outside sessions. Identifying treatment goals early also helps to guide the therapeutic interaction; we can focus on what the patient hopes to accomplish in therapy.
