First responders and their families serve a great purpose in our society, but often times that service comes with its share of challenges. For more than 10 years, I’ve worked side by side with first responders, having the privilege to learn their stories. In my practice, I focus on first responders as well as their families. This can include a focus on the individual-their strengths, their struggles and their overall health and mental wellness, and also a focus on the role of the system-family, friends, work or community with a common goal to create support for success.
