My ideal client is experiencing mental/emotional distress mainly because they are struggling in relationships. You might come in for individual therapy, but want to work towards understanding the relational patterns and larger social systems that are impacting you negatively. You might come in for couples or family therapy, and bring many of those relationship patterns directly into session to work on in real time. Either way, you are seeking relief and change through a willingness to examine and alter perceptions, boundaries, and ways of being with those most important to you.
