Are you the eldest child? Is it difficult to be vulnerable and trust that others can take care of you? Being the eldest child myself, I can relate to the complexities of navigating your personal needs from those you care for. We are often told who we should be without being given the space to explore who we want to be. I work to offer my clients that space to explore at their pace. Taking a client's culture, family background, and inter-generational patterns and trauma into account is a vital part of my approach. The act of opening yourself up to the therapeutic process can be scary and vulnerable but there is life beyond that fear.
