When I ask a couple why they're seeking therapy - no matter the circumstances! - the answer usually includes "communication." In my experience, if a couple says they're struggling to communicate it means that someone's needs aren't being met. Not having your needs met in a relationship is painful and isolating, and not understanding your partner's needs can be incredibly frustrating. A lack of connection creates room for resentment to grow. Sometimes it can feel like you're not speaking the same language. I'm here to help you try to become fluent in the language of your relationship. My job is not to decide if you should stay together. Through our work, you'll gain more knowledge of yourselves, each other, and the relationship itself. Answers come more easily when there’s more information at hand. I seek to arm my patients with clarity so that they might make the best decisions possible for themselves.
