I believe that a person seeking treatment is generally having trouble with either handling emotions or with dealing with a significant person in his life. As we collaborate, patients gain insight into how their history gets acted out in relationships. They experience relief of symptoms that are tied to early messages that invalidated their feelings. In working with children and their parents or couples, my goal is to facilitate more effective conflict resolution through creating safety in their interactions and an increased ability to truly hear each other on a "feelings" level. My style is very interactive.
