I take the mystery out of therapy by working collaboratively with you. My role then tends to be like a coach or instructor. We set goals together. I do not make decisions for my clients. Rather we look for patterns in thinking, actions, and relationships that cause problems. We examine the positive and negative outcomes that cause people to get stuck in negative emotions. While we look to the past to learn how patterns are shaped, this treatment is present and future focused. It is more important to build on your strengths than to dwell on weaknesses.
