I take an attachment-based approach to counseling, understanding much of the brain’s most significant formation occurs within the first few years of life. Just as a person’s early environment can serve to provide a safe connotation for the word “home," so it can also be the source of wounds which follow through life. Attachment-informed approaches believe healing occurs when the client experiences security within themselves and with others, starting in the therapy room.
