In my clinical practice, I work with individual adults who struggle with forming their own identity (I often say I'm a good fit for people who feel like the "black sheep" of the family), discomfort in their body (which may express itself through difficulty with food, eating patterns, discomfort with sex). Working together in a safe and open space has been helpful and productive for my patients, allowing them to gain access to a sense of worth and fullness they didn't know was possible.
