My therapy approach is open and honest. I show up as both a human and psychologist, and do not emphasize a professional power hierarchy. I am an advocate for racial justice, LGBTQ+ equality and rights, and human rights more broadly. I am not value neutral on such topics. It is important for my clients to know that my full-time job is as an Assistant Professor of Practice at University of Denver’s Counseling Psychology Program where I teach and supervise students learning to be therapists. Therefore, my private practice is part-time and I have limited flexibility for scheduling.
