I have been a social worker for over 22 years. I spent 17 of those years in a large high school setting. During my time working with adolescents and their families, I witnessed how debilitating mental health issues such as OCD, panic disorders, and phobias were for the child as well as the entire family unit. Part of my job was to refer students to outpatient therapy, but it was difficult to find therapists who specialized in the treatment of these diagnoses. This is why I have spent an extensive amount of time getting trained in research based therapies that are proven to treat OCD and other anxiety disorders.
