I work well with someone who takes initiative, is motivated to work towards their treatment goals, and wants to learn about mental health. People who are open to feedback and discussion, and this goes both ways! It's very important that we are able to build a therapeutic bond, trust and respect with each other. Humor is appreciated in my sessions, I think laughter is a wonderful coping mechanism!
