My therapy praxis is culturally sensitive, non-pathologizing, and trauma-informed, rooted in an awareness of the real impact of social constructs and normative discourses, around which systems of oppression are organized. My therapeutic approach is fundamentally person-centered and deeply informed by dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and existential philosophy, both of which emphasize our responsibility to create a meaningful life that honors our authentic selves through acceptance and change strategies. My approach is also informed by the narrative and solution-focused brief therapy traditions.
