I have been in the mental health field for 25 years, working in a variety of treatment settings with diverse populations. My journey started with wilderness programming for adolescents, where I saw firsthand how nature and challenge could create powerful change. From there, I worked in residential treatment programs for at-risk youth, including those with severe behavioral issues and adolescent sexual offenders. I also spent time providing substance use treatment for both adolescents and adults in detention facilities.
