Clients reach out to therapists because they have a need to heal some aspect of themselves or their life. They are being challenged, as we all are, because each life is a Master Class and no one is born with an instruction manual. Carl Rogers firmly believed that the human being by design is striving towards wholeness, light and dark, good and bad. I have over 40 years of work with clients. I am conversant with religious and spiritual practices, both personal and in community. As a Latinx gay man, I am sensitive to intersectionality, internalized oppression, and immigrant trauma.
