A woman age 42 is stressed due to her husband's drinking. They have been married for 15 years. His drinking has increased and he has become verbally abusive. He has been coming home from work later and later.Their children ages 11 and 13 are no longer having friends visit. Her father was an alcoholic. She is a registered nurse and has become the "breadwinner" of their family. Admitted feeling resentful but also guilty. Admitted no explanation for her guilt but "feels" responsible for his drinking. She reported sleep disturbance, high blood pressure, loss of weight.
