About
Your child is having nightmares, melting down and clinging to you. Or you're seeing some very scary teen behavior. You've found vape pens, cuts on her arms-and she's lying about it. She doesn't want to come out of her room. We all need safety and connection to heal from trauma. I help children and teens impacted by assault and gun violence feel safe and connected again. Through imaginative play & expressive arts-I help children & teens explore their inner conflicts-that often appears as anxiety, anger or withdrawal- so they can make meaning, develop coping skills & feel more empowered. They tune in to their inner wisdom. What would it be like to see your child or teen have hope, ease and self-trust? When a child or teen has faced a lack of safety-they need help making sense of their feelings and behaviors. For children, play & art helps them express big feelings, resolve trauma and access resiliency. For teens, a gentle process-DBR-heals shock-based events at the core.
