The fact that you are taking the time to read this biography to explore starting therapy is a huge step, and one that you should be proud of. It can be daunting confronting life’s challenges. My job is to create a safe, trauma-informed space in which you feel empowered to explore your history, develop tools for your future, and build on the resilience you already possess. I value a person-centered approach and believe that you are the expert on you. Within our sessions, I plan to take an integrative approach utilizing therapeutic approaches and modalities such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and motivational interview.
