Dr. Powell is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience working with couples, individuals, and families navigating some of life’s most complex emotional terrain. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Missouri and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. His early work included trauma-informed care with at-risk children, residential substance abuse treatment for families, and outpatient therapy for LGBTQ couples—experiences that continue to inform his warm, direct, and evidence-based approach.
