Therapy is not meant to be forever, I believe in true healing so you can go live your life and be happy. In childhood, we rely on our parents to meet our needs. This does not just include having a warm bed and food on the table, this also means being emotionally supported and valued. If we do not get these things and instead get harsh criticism, physical abuse, sexual abuse, etc, then we often grow up and have difficulties with relationships. We may choose partners who are unhealthy for us and hurt us or may fall victim to narcissism. We have low self-esteem/self sabotage. Oftentimes, we struggle with uncomfortable body sensations.
