Therapy is about creating a safe space to connect, heal, release, receive support, share things that have never be shared, remember forgotten memories, learn how to communicate in new ways, and become a more wholistic and real authentic version of yourself. Along my path to becoming a therapist, I had to grow and stretch myself so much. This expansion was required to be able to have the capacity to truly be there for my clients. The psychological theories and counseling skills from school helped a lot, but also my own life experiences have also helped me empathize and support my clients.
