If you are dealing with stress, trauma, anxiety or depression it can be achingly difficult to reach out for help. Sometimes we feel unworthy, or even like we're moving through molasses and its just too exhausting to try. The first step is often the hardest even if it may be the smallest. My name is Maliko and I am a second generation Japanese American living in Fairbanks, Alaska, also known as Tanana Dene Land who specializes in body based, neurodivergent affirming, trauma responsive therapy. The mind and body aren't separate pieces, they're two parts of one whole. And that whole is you. My main focus is helping clients build a holistic understanding of their mental health through a neuroscience lens. Learning more about why we do the things we do can be a pivotal part of getting to know ourselves and creating a stronger sense of self compassion, autonomy and confidence.
