It’s heartbreaking to watch your teen pull away. The once talkative, curious child you knew is now distant, lost in their phone, or hidden behind closed doors. Teenagers face unique challenges and joys as they grow: body changes, shifting friendships, and a whirlwind of emotions that seems out of control. They’re anxious one day and elated the next – hiding away in their room until you’re worried about them… and then suddenly lighting up over a good grade or because someone “likes them.” Through it all, they’re struggling – with failure, low self-esteem, and anxiety. They quietly wish that someone would “just understand.”
