One thing I have learned from my clients is that "therapy" does not often happen in big moments of sudden revelation. Instead, therapy is the gradual building of trust, self-acceptance, and insight that a client takes at their own unique pace. I understand that my job as a therapist is not to change my clients, but rather to witness these tiny moments through the many different obstacles and challenges life throws our way.
