I have had 46 years of experience treating adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups, primarily utilizing the Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach, along with healthy doses of humor (when appropriate, of course). I am a firm believer that the bedrock of successful treatment begins with establishing a solid connection and rapport with the people I treat. My philosophy is that the patient is the captain of the ship and I am the navigator; the captain tells me where he/she wants to go (goals) and I suggest the routing to get there - and as a team...we'll get there!
