In 1996, I began working with culturally diverse children, adolescents, adults and families in Oahu through a community health center in Honolulu.. The increasing need for mental health services for this population has challenged me to recognize, accept, and understand the complexities of their problems - challenges that offer potential for personal and professional growth, creativity, and deeper human connection. I had the opportunity since then to draw on various psychological approaches that include Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Existential, System/Family, Developmental and Psychoeducational.
