Hello, My name is Marissa Hancock. I'm going to tell you a little bit about my background as I know choosing a counselor can be daunting. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from Indiana University and a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Louisville. I have served over the years an ethnically and culturally diverse population. I work with all ages in private practice regarding many different concerns anything from: severe mental illness, complex trauma, PTSD, struggling with life changes or direction, family related distress, Parenting and, others I practice trauma informed care in everything I do, as my background is in trauma treatment specifically. I am comfortable working with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders. I approach each and every client with dignity and respect. I am easy to talk to always with the goal to create a safe and non-judging environment.
