About

I am a New York State-licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Interpersonal Psychoanalyst. I'm committed to helping people sort out how to get where they want to get--specifically, working through difficult relationship entanglements, personal growth and life changes. I like to work collaboratively and believe that sometimes the right course is clear; at other times it is something to work on together. I always try to balance being honest, open, thoughtful, compassionate and responsive. I co-founded The Irrelationship Group and The Community Consulting Group (CCG). "Irrelationship" is a jointly created but unconscious defense system that enables people within to avoid awareness of the anxiety that's a natural part of becoming close to others-anxiety about letting people see and know us "as we really are." This discovery greatly informs and guides my clinical practice.
