You may feel overwhelmed by the fragments of trauma, or you may feel stuck in a cycle of disconnect with your partner. Either may leave you feeling vigilant, disoriented, and isolated by what has happened. Survivors of trauma often seek relief from a paradoxical sense of self, struggling to finally place what happened and the impact it has had on them. Disconnected couples often feel distant, unheard, or stuck in repetitive arguments. All the while, many partners in this cycle often yearn to be held and seen again. If this fits for you, let's work towards reconnection, and a renewed sense of safety and purpose. For survivors, I use the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) to help clients process their pain, mend their sense of self, and become the author of their life story. With couples, I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), which seeks to break cycles of disconnect by rebuilding trust, intimacy, and (re)establishing a secure bond.
