Have you ever known what you wanted but you just couldn’t figure out how to get there? I have had many moments in life where I felt stuck and could not seem to get past it on my own. Being in the client’s seat gave me the opportunity to realize just how much power and potential I hold, but needed help removing the obstacles in my path. I recognize that the client is the driver on their journey through life, but that I can come along and hold the map. I love meeting new people and being given the opportunity to help others realize their power and capability of living a fulfilled and positive life. The gift of therapy was given to me as an adolescent to work through my parents’ divorce. I had no idea that I would soon be looking forward to my weekly sessions. It was with my counselor that I learned just how empowering a safe space could be that facilitated my growth and emotional journey. Then I knew I wanted to help others the way I had been helped.
