About
If we have the blessing of living to midlife and beyond, it’s certain that we’ve experienced significant losses which we may not have had the resources or support to process. We live in a larger culture that doesn't allow space for grieving and doesn't recognize or acknowledge the loss inherent in many experiences. Without support, we lack ways of fully feeling and making meaning of these deeply human experiences of pain and loss. For many of us, distress that has accumulated over time has us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and anxious. We continue going through the motions, pushing through, yet lacking a sense of joy and purpose. In my practice, we make space for pain and distress so it can be held, carried, and integrated into our being. We can then go forward in our lives with a renewed sense of aliveness. I use an integrative approach, weaving mindfulness-based, body-based, transpersonal, and humanistic methods.
