Greetings, My name is Mary Elizabeth Moon, I am an LPCA in Frankfort, Kentucky. Advocacy, Empowerment, and Collaboration are at the heart of my professional values. I have counseling experience working with youth, young adults, elders, and families. I specialize in working with needs around LGBTQ+ and non-binary support, grief and loss counseling, and psychoeducation. I offer practical guidance in how to deal with Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma utilizing CBT/DBT methods, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with Narrative Therapy, Parts Work, and Somatic approaches. Along with this, I have provided support sessions with families to teach life skills, linking families to outside resources for high-acuity needs, individual counseling and consultation for elementary, middle, and high school-aged children, working with needs around family support services, and vocational/academic guidance.
