About
When individuals or couples first come in to see me, they are often anxious, depressed or angry. Coping skills that used to work "OK" no longer seem to be sufficient. They may feel confused or uncertain about the future. Some people can point to a specific cause, but others find it difficult to identify or talk about underlying concerns - particularly if they have endured a trauma. Therapy offers a warm, secure and compassionate space for exploration of feelings, perspectives and options for change. My therapeutic style is collaborative/strengths-based. I integrate complementary approaches such as Gottman Method (Level 3) for couples, psychodynamic, CBT, DBT and trauma-informed, depending on the need. I provide structure that supports and guides the healing process, while working carefully with each client to find a pace that feels safe and effective.
