I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families affected by addiction since 1992; in New York and now in Florida. The loneliness, devastation, low self-esteem, doubt and fear that accompany the disease can be paralyzing, self-defeating and traumatic for some people. The good news is that with treatment there is hope, freedom and a chance to learn and incorporate new skills to live a full and healthy life. My focus with my clients is knowing that there is a better way and we work on finding the path that will begin that journey with understanding, compassion and developing inner strength.
